My Politically Incorrect Doggy Bag
I busted into some leftover thai food for dinner tonight. Upon closer inspection, I noticed what the take-out container said:I didn't think that referring to things as "Oriental" was acceptable anymore. Am I wrong? Or is this 1952?
Came over from PW. Congrats on your win, but mostly want to say thanks for your mis-spellings. I can't tell you how many times I make errors on my comments, even after proofing them. I want to immediately fix them, which you can't...Anyway, thanks for making me lauch and feel normal.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can use the word Oriental when talking about a "thing", i.e. an Oriental Rug or Oriental Food. But you cannot use it when referring to a person or group of people.
